A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the Peacock Trot on Thanksgiving. It was a great morning for a 5k, and over 40 people participated! We received $946 in adoption donations, which we are especially grateful for this Thanksgiving. We had so much fun that we’re anticipating making the Peacock Trot an annual neighborhood event to raise money for other non-profits in years to come.
We also want to thank our local East Lake Dunn Bros for generously donating the hot coffee and cider we all enjoyed afterwards. There’s nothing better than a steaming beverage on a chilly MN morning!
For those of you with a competitive streak, the unofficial winner of the 5k run was Amy’s brother, Nate Wissink. Even more impressive, the youngest person to run/walk every step of the entire 5k course was 6 year-old Benji Gavin. High fives to both of you!!
woot! Woot! Love how you LIVE!!! 🙂
